Island Elevator owned Executive Elevator Service, Inc. for over 28 years; we maintained elevators from a single elevator to a six car group. Our executive office is in Islamorada and we have two warehouses in Homestead containing parts, machine shop tooling and storage.
We are members of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local #71, the National Association of Elevator Contracts and Property Managers Association locally. Island Elevator is a distributor for Waupaca Elevator, Inclinator Elevators, and Harmar Vertical Platform. We use motion control, GAL and innovation for most of our modernization equipment. All of our suppliers are top of the line and have years of experience in elevators.
We are family-owned, and Frank has more than 45 years in elevators and is a QEI Inspector. I was the first woman in Florida to obtain a State license and Dade County license. All of our mechanics hold a Certificate of Competency in elevators with the state of Florida. They also completed a five-year apprentice program with the International Union.
Our primary objective is to provide preventative maintenance to your elevators, which will provide you with a dependable operation elevator with minimal shut downs. In addition, preventative maintenance extends the life of your equipment. Our maintenance contracts are full service, which means you have coverage for parts and callback service during the regular working hours of the elevator trade.
Island Elevator (and Executive Elevator Service, Inc.) installed residential elevators in high-end homes for the past 25 years. Our installations are quiet, dependable and beautiful. We bid to all specifications and have the ability to do custom work. In fact, we designed, built and installed the glass elevator which was used in the movie Scarface.
